spring summer fashion week (WEAK) in the philippines.. uhmmm spring when?
Philippine Fashionistas don’t know what they are getting into,eh?
I’d been sorta reasoning out where the people who held the Philippine fashion week event last October ever came up with the idea of adding spring ( as in Spring season), in their terminology?
Spring, actually if I’m not mistaken, often occurs when winter transitions to the coming of summer. And usually winter happens to where places are a little higher from the equator. And yet there is no such season of winter in the Philippines. But I guess since the Philippines is sometimes labeled as one of the temperate area, I assumed that many mistakenly identify the changing of climate here in the Philippines to even use the term. How fashion terms can be sometimes densed, and even stupid. I wonder if any of those fashionistas who attended the event even know what the difference of spring as being identified in temperate seasoned countries, albeit changing the real definition of this term, making other people seem stupid.
Country like ours should not be intentionally be insulted in this types. There seem to be many educated fashionistas who aren’t aware of what type of country they are living in. The Philippines has only three recognized season, which is Tag-init ( the hot season or summer );tag-ulan ( the rainy season which happens commonly during june to november, but since there are few changing climate shifts because of global warming – rainy season is sometimes changing); and lastly ; Tag-lamig (or the cold season which happens from December til February ). And just to remind everyone, this is a tropical country. I felt saddened that the idea of copying and mimicking foreign trends is making people who are smart to come up with very cool and authentic design can be so alarmingly stupid and glorifyingly morbid, even with unique fashion title or program for their so called event. DUH!!!
So, please if you have other opinions, can someone please educate me? haha.. I’m all ears!
